The Sir Walter Raleigh Award
Since 1983, the Raleigh City Council has awarded 200 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance to developers, designers, building owners, community groups, civic clubs, churches, and citizens who have made an outstanding contribution to the character and appearance of Raleigh.
